final plan of attack.

so i have spent most of this last week working out all the little details of my project. finally, i think it is in its final stage and ready to begin coming together. so there have been a few changes to my plan, but the idea is still essentially the same.

in order to avoid any problems with securing a location large enough to install in, i have decided against the use of a full size dining table and chairs. instead, i am going to go with the idea that the vinyl figures on the wall are serving you the 'food' out of their hands. so heres how it will work.

there will be three figures made out of vinyl words on the wall (one for each search engine: google, yahoo and bing), each with a protruding mannequin's hand holding a bowl or plate of more words (the same internet searches that the people will be made out of) cut out of acrylic. this way the installation requires much less space so i wont have to look for a large room that is free to set it up.

for my progress report, i have three mannequin hands on their way to my house now and have begun creating the people out of text in illustrator. once that is done i will just have to print it out (making a little extra to cover the mannequin hands) and figure out how to use the laser cutter to make my words for the bowls and plates. more info and pictures of my progress to come soon.
